The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and provide Human Resources guidance and support to MGUH leaders, more than 5000 associates and upwards of 1000 physicians. This new leader will have the opportunity to direct the operational, personnel and financial activities of the Human Resources function, and will join a driven, collegial, professional and highly talented leadership team.

The AVP of Human Resources will enjoy serving a mentor, resident expert, business partner and strategic advisor to the organization and be part of the implementation of system programs at the entity level, working with leaders systemwide to ensure alignment of policies, processes, best practices and the uniform delivery of exceptional quality service. The Assistant Vice President of Human Resources will join other MGUH leaders, associates and clinicians in embracing the MGUH culture of cura personalis – caring for the whole person, finding opportunities each day to create a professional, safe and supportive environment for patients, families and each other.

The successful candidate will bring a high level of professionalism, exceptional communication, customer service and organizational skills along with a minimum of 5-years demonstrated human resources leadership experience to the position. This new leader will have deep experience with departmental budgeting, labor relations and employee relations and possess a Masters Degree in a related field.
