Watch Major General John Harris Receive The 2023 Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award.

The Synergy Organization, the Award’s Founding Sponsor and Creator, developed the Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award in 2013 in close collaboration with the Baldrige Foundation.  This prestigious annual award was created in honor of Harry S. Hertz, PhD. 

For 19 years Dr. Harry S. Hertz led the Baldrige Foundation and he has a well-deserved reputation as a role model and servant-leader. The Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award recognizes role model leaders like Dr. Hertz that have inspired encouraged challenged and empowered others to achieve performance excellence.

The Baldrige foundation is honored and delighted to recognize Major General John Harris as the 2023 recipient of the Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award.

Major General John Harris served as the Assistant Adjutant General for Army since January 11, 2011. He began his military career in 1981 when he enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard. He received a commission in 1984 through Officer Candidate School.
